Aqua Lung LEG3ND Elite diving regulator is the latest top of the line premium model from Aqua Lung in 2020. As with all top of the line Legend regulators, the LEG3ND Elite packaging is different from the rest, and has a vey nice external sleeve with image that makes you want to go Scuba Diving right away!
Aqua Lung really stepped up the cold water game of the Elite. The 1st stage has deep ribs that creates a large area for heat exchange. It is slightly taller and has a total area that is 70% more than the previous Legend.
The new over moulded cap delays ice formation over the external diaphragm. This is indeed a strong competitor to any cold water regulators out there, even their sister company Apeks! As with all premium 1st Stages, the LEG3ND Elite comes with Auto Closure Device (ACD), to keep the inlet shut and protect the internals from contamination and corrosion.
The 2nd Stage is well designed, and boasts a clear stylish and premium look. It has opening channels to allow water to flow sideways over the diaphragm. The radial openings prevents free flow when diving in stronger currents, or when using a DPV. The new exhaust cover is made of Elastomer with a soft touch effect, and will not hurt the chin like other stiffer designs. The purge cover has a wider surface area, that makes purging easy even when using dry gloves.
The aggressive heat exchanger on the 2nd Stage completes this premium cold water regulator. An extremely stylish, smooth breathing, with all the premium features by Aqua Lung are all found in the LEG3ND Elite.
