This set of regulators were the original regulators for the tech/cave divers back in 1990s. This set of the predecessors of MK20 G250, to the MK25 G250HP, to the MK25 G250V (which we at Dive Box feels the 2nd stage was ridiculously big, bulky, heavy, and unnecessary), and finally to the current MK25 EVO G260!
The bottom line fact is that, this set of regulators were the flagship before the production of the MK25 S600.
The venerable G260 is the most imitated air balanced second stage design of all time. First introduced in 1986 as the G250, it was the first regulator to introduce an adjustable Venturi Initiated Vacuum Assist (VIVA). Today’s modern version features metal components (inlet tube, orifice, inhalation control knob and hose connector) for excellent cold-water performance. It also offers a left-right hose attachment option, making it a great choice for tech diving configurations.
